It is intended that the literature on this website will provide general information about lymphoma, the treatments currently available and guidance on practical issues surrounding the illness.  Treatment of individual patients may differ from those described on the website, in which case we would encourage patients to speak to their specialist who is the only person with full information about their diagnosis and medical history. Lymphoma Association Policy on Funding from Commercial Companies

The Lymphoma Association receives no government funding, and relies on fundraising and donations to finance its work.  We welcome donations and sponsorship to finance our services for those affected by lymphatic cancers.  This includes funding from companies who, as corporate supporters of the Lymphoma Association, donate regularly or sponsor a specific project.  Corporate supporters include pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical companies and this policy applies to partnerships with any company from any industry.

The Lymphoma Association aims to represent patients’ interests in an impartial manner and will not compromise its independence.  We do not accept financial support from any individual or organisation which we believe is not acting in the best interests of people with lymphoma.  We reserve the right to comment publicly on any activity or organisation which we perceive to be counter-productive to these interests.

Policy for Working with Pharmaceutical Companies

The Lymphoma Association is an independent organisation, and its policies and activities are not influenced by any pharmaceutical companies or by the pharmaceutical industry.

The Lymphoma Association seeks to develop good working relationships with pharmaceutical companies interested in the field of lymphomas. The Lymphoma Association recognises that people with lymphoma will be the beneficiaries of new therapies and believes that, in an ideal world, everyone with lymphoma should have access to all treatments appropriate to their diagnosis.
