Lymphoma support groups

The Lymphoma Association has developed a national network of support groups. These are open to anyone who has an interest in lymphoma. People who are, or have been, affected by Hodgkin lymphoma (formerly known as Hodgkin's disease) or one of the non-Hodgkin lymphomas, be they patients, family members, friends or health care professionals, all are welcome to become members of a group.

Essentially, a support group is about sharing: thoughts and feelings; information and knowledge; the good times and the difficult times. Many group members talk warmly about the friendships that have been formed, the support that has been given and received and the depth of understanding that can be experienced with those who have, to a greater or lesser extent, travelled along the same road.

Most groups invite speakers on lymphoma and associated topics as well as organising social and/or fundraising activities from time to time.  Whatever activity has been organised for a meeting, there is always time to talk.

For more information about any of the groups listed below, please contact the Lymphoma Association Helpline on 0808 808 5555  (9am - 6pm Monday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm Friday.

Please be advised that information on local meetings is subject to change, it is advisable to check the details with your local contact.  Should you require any further information, please contact the Helpline team (0808 808 555).

One or two of these groups meet infrequently, but there IS a contact person for the area. If demand increases these groups will meet more often.

If there is not a group in your area, perhaps you, a relative or friend would like to help start a group. Please contact Sue Haines on 01296 619402
